Want to participate in this National CanSat Competition?

CanSat is a miniature, fully functional satellite in a case the size of a drinks can, which will be launched into the skies to collect exploratory observation data. Today’s technology, the affordability of the necessary components and their easy availability make space exploration feasible in schools.

The students/youth have five main objectives in the CanSat competition:

1. Complete the mandatory primary task, i.e. the built CanSat and software must measure temperature and barometric pressure during launch and landing;

2. Complete one or more optional secondary tasks chosen by the teams;

3. Fit all the components of the satellite (including battery, sensors, communication equipment) into a structure the size and weight of a can;

4. Ensure that the can survives landing.

5. Conduct scientific experiments and transfer in-flight data to a ground-based computer.
